Who we are

Mantelmade is a trading name of JRL Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15511536. Registered office: Flat 1, 450 Cerulean House, Oldfield Lane North, Greenford, UB6 0GF, United Kingdom. VAT number GB520260639.

These terms are an agreement between you and that company. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company. Mantelmade is an independent service. It is not made, sponsored or endorsed by OpenAI. ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI.

The service

Mantelmade prints an image you give us as a poster, framed print, canvas or mug and ships it, or prints it on a 6 × 4 in postcard and mails it with your message. You can start in ChatGPT or by uploading an image at mantelmade.com/start. We make every item to order, using partners to print, ship and mail it. Our privacy policy names them.

You must be at least 18 to place an order, and the delivery address must be in the US. We may change a product or size, or stop offering one. If that happens after you have paid, we will complete your order or refund you.

Orders and payment

You order by choosing an item and paying on mantelmade.com. Stripe handles the payment. Your order is placed when you complete payment and see the confirmation page.

Prices are in US dollars. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay, including shipping to a US address.

Before we ship an order, we can decline or cancel it, for example because the image breaks our print rules or an item cannot be made. If we do, we refund you in full.

Previews are a guide. Colors on a screen differ from ink on paper, canvas or ceramic, and the crop in the preview is close to the final print but not exact. Check the preview before you pay. Small differences in color or placement are not a defect.

Shipping and delivery

We ship to US addresses only, and shipping is free. Posters, framed prints, canvas and mugs are printed to order by Printful. We email you a tracking link when your order ships. Delivery times vary, and any estimate we give is not a promise of a date.

Postcards are printed and mailed by Lob through USPS First Class Mail. Delivery time is set by USPS, and once a postcard is mailed it cannot be recalled.

You are responsible for entering a correct, complete address. Once an order is in production we may not be able to change it, so email us as soon as you spot a mistake. If you send a postcard to someone else, you confirm you may give us their name and address for that purpose. Risk of loss passes to you when your order is delivered.

Returns and refunds

Every item is personalized. We make it to order from your image, so we cannot accept returns or cancellations because you changed your mind.

If an item arrives damaged or defective, or is not what you ordered, such as the wrong size or the wrong image, we will reprint it or refund you. Email support@mantelmade.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo that shows the problem.

If your order does not arrive, tell us and we will look into it with the carrier. If it is lost, we will reprint it or refund you. For postcards, USPS sets the delivery time, so give a postcard a fair amount of time before you tell us it is missing.

If you notice a mistake straight after you order, email us right away. If the order has not gone into production, we will cancel it and refund you.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used. How long they take to appear depends on your bank. This section does not limit any rights you have under the law.

Acceptable images

Do not order or send us an image that:

• shows nudity or sexual content
• shows graphic violence or weapons
• contains hate symbols or hateful content
• shows illegal goods or is unlawful in any other way
• shows a real public figure
• includes a brand logo or a well-known character that you do not have permission to use
• infringes someone else's copyright or other rights
• shows a person who has not agreed to it, or someone else's private information

The same rules apply to postcard messages. Do not use a postcard to send threats, harassment or anything unlawful.

Every image goes through an automated check before it is printed. The check can be wrong. If we block an image you think is fine, email support@mantelmade.com and we will take another look. We can also refuse, stop or cancel an order that breaks these rules, even after the check, and we will refund you if we do. You can read more on our support page.

Your image and our license

You keep ownership of your image. We do not claim it.

When you give us an image, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it for your order, that it follows the rules in the section above, and that printing it will not infringe anyone's rights. If you made the image with an AI tool such as ChatGPT, you are responsible for checking that the tool's terms let you print it this way.

You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, resize, crop, enlarge, check and print your image, and to pass it to our providers for those purposes. We use this license only to make and deliver your order, to run our image check and to deal with problems with your order. It ends when we delete your image, as set out in our privacy policy. We will not show your image publicly or use it to promote Mantelmade.

If someone claims your image infringes their rights, we may remove it and cancel the order. To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for that claim.

The Mantelmade name, logo, website and previews belong to us or our licensors. Do not copy or use them without our permission.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. These terms do not affect your rights as a consumer.

If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. Apart from the cases above, our total liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our control, such as carrier or USPS delays, severe weather or outages at our providers. If an order cannot be completed because of one, we will tell you and refund you.

We work to keep Mantelmade running, but we cannot promise it will always be available. ChatGPT is provided by OpenAI, separately from us, and we are not responsible for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. New terms apply to orders placed after that date. An order you have already paid for stays under the terms in place when you ordered.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute about them or about an order, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. This does not take away rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. We would like the chance to fix a problem first, so please email us.
